It’s a stretch I’m sure, but if you have your old PC you used Prodigy on, the files from C:\PRODIGY are very helpful to recover bits of the service for the revival.

That’s a real nice screenshot you have there! Not long and you’ll be able to experience it again for nostalgia sake (well, the DOS version circa 1989)

Did you ever make it to the 3rd level? It does get pretty difficult to navigate without a meticulously crafted map.

Got it. I’ve mined archive org for old CompuServe references of which there are a couple. But if you ever come across any comprehensive reference you may have squirreled away, please keep me in mind!

I was in NYC during Sandy and I totally understand. It’s a tall order even without a natural disaster!

If you still have that machine or a backup, the STAGE.DAT and CACHE.DAT files from C:\PRODIGY can help us revive the service!

You may be interested to learn that there is work to automatically create weather maps for the Prodigy Reloaded (a revival project) from the NOAA features shapefiles.
