Today's side project:
The "all modern digital infrastructure" XKCD meme which ordinarily shows stacked, irregularly shaped blocks, with a critical component near the bottom being maintained by a volunteer in their spare time. In this version, a yellow balloon being pumped by a 3-fingered hand has been added to the middle, causing the upper blocks to tilt precariously to the side. This added balloon and pump are labelled: "AI".

Government spending on management consulting companies. Deloitte spending ballooned to $166 million in 2024 while the other top consultants sit between $15-40 million. IBM previously peaked at $80M in 2020. Government spending on top outsourcing agencies. Deloitte spending rose from $70 million to $308 million since 2020, while IBM has been steady at $190 million. Accenture, CQ, and KPMG at $43, $36 and $28 million respectively as of 2024.
