You’re right about how stacked the AI advisory committee is with IT VPs. But I do appreciate this line: “…with little rigorous evidence of educational benefits and mounting concerns that chatbots are spreading misinformation and eroding critical thinking.”

Scrapping the faculty senate and hiring a president without faculty input… This is obviously not solving an ideological bias problem (the cover story), it’s creating a microcosm of the authoritarian state.

While I imagine it’s already on your list, I always say that the “Stochastic Parrots” article is a great place to start for anyone who wants to go down the rabbit hole of critical AI study. For length and complexity I’d call it intermediate?
