I meant to add a row to the quilt top I was working on and assemble the backing. Instead I blacked out and made a second quilt top. Oops.

Tacos! Tacos! Tacos!
Looking at the front of a restaurant called “Taqueria by El Prieto” there are 6 neon signs in the front window. Three say “tacos! Open” one is of a taco, one is of a taco and has a taco, and one is of a burrito and says burrito. There is a cafe table and palm plant, behind the table is a mascot costume of a taco wearing a baseball hat.

I introduced a 5 year old to the joys of instant photography (polaroids) and they took what might legitimately be my favorite photo of me. (And also had so much fun with the camera)

On March 25, 1911 a fire broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory, killing 146 people. Mostly young immigrants. Dozens came together to honor them by embroidering the name of one of the 146 and begin the assembling the massive banner that will be displayed at the official ceremony on Tuesday.

The little lion dancers 💜 yesterday in Chinatown.
