Reread Elie Wiesel's NIGHT, where he describes the elders developing concern (think strongly worded letter), then settling in, then on alert, then relaxing, ignoring an eyewitness warning, and finally, when it was too late, being marched off and away.

The vibes are eerily similar right now.

I minored in German so I was exposed to a lot of WWII history when studying 20th century literature, and we are somewhere immediately before the Reichstag fire at the moment. Trump is a totalitarian fascist nazi criminal, full stop.

Gen X here, need to do like TV in my area back in the late 70's early 80's: Show the full brutality the nazi's did during World War 2! Back then they SHOWED the huge piles of skeletal bodies of Jewish people being bulldozed into HUGE mass graves, nevermind the firing squads and gas chambers in 8mm.

The power of the Presidency is way too broad. We need to do away with the presidency altogether and replace it with an elected committee or something. A head of state is an antiquated holdover from the monarchies. Totally stupid and dangerous, as we are seeing.
