Nobody talks about how getting evicted sucks your time away from everything you love. Like replaying Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

I need to replay the Azran Legacy next because I like genuinely can’t remember what the villains were doing besides Descole having the worst kept secret identity ever.

I’m planning on doing my part in making NWoS successful, and manipulating everyone in my social circle into buying it. They all know I really want it and if I individually tell them they can dibs it for my birthday I can secure at least 4 copy’s. Perhaps I should get more friends before November.

Just finished miracle mask and omg the credits music always hits me like a truck. Why is it a 90s sitcom song?? Literally a synth melody straight into the saxophone, I just burst out laughing this whole ending is soo cheesy I love this game so much.

Miracle mask has such great minor characters. The setting being this new tourist destination makes it easy to generate concepts for them based on real archetypes. The scoffing local annoyed by the tourists, the local entertainers, the scammers, etc.

When I boot up Miracle Mask I always take note of the fact you can immediately fix volume settings. FAR to many times in this modern era, have I opened a game for the first time and gotten my ears BLASTED by music. Before anything else, I want to see the settings. That makes me like the game more.

Just rewatched the trailer AGAIN gosh I love the “puzzle solved” reactions. Both of them show the unique way that they love puzzles. Layton seems like he’s thoughtfully appreciating the design of the puzzle while Luke is looks accomplished he figured out the trick.

Pandora’s Box was the first professor layton game I played growing up. I loved the molentary express and the mystery, the ending was a little absurd and out of nowhere but still fun! I want to replay it but I think I’ll replay the whole series instead tbh.

The music in the Professor Layton franchise does so well at maintaining the tone throughout the games. In Miracle Mask, the music in Monte’Dor feels alive, I always imagined faint crowds while listening to this song. But there’s a melancholy undertone that hints at the nature of the city’s past.

Love the design of this snail moped/motorbike in the recent trailer. The “shell” seems to be a vault of some kind, maybe Biker will ask us to retrieve something taken from it in a mission/side quest. Charming designs like this are a big part of why I love this series.

Some dislike Luke’s new design. Personally I love it! It keeps the cuteness that we know and love from the earlier games while still feeling appropriately aged up. I think the art on the left captures his character best, taking clearly after his mentor now that he has become a detective himself.

I now have a self imposed void to yell into about Professor Layton.
