It must be really difficult for librarians to teach information literacy in the United States these days. In the past, I would have pointed to US dot gov sites.

In all seriousness, I wonder how we are supposed to know. Certainly there are people who might be at risk of being kidnapped by non-police/ICE and how are they to know if these are really police officers?
If men with guns and masks tried to pull me out of my car, I'd fight back. Courts should reject any claims by the government that this is aggression by the person being detained, resisting arrest, or that they're a flight risk.
