A student from someone else's class sought me out, because they were given a non-history/non poli sci essay assignment about whether children of undocumented parents should have Birthright citizenship.

The anti-birthright citizenship position is low key being laundered. Glad they sought me out.
Now that attacking birthright citizenship has become a Day 1 project for the incoming Trump admin, I dug out this rather comprehensive piece I wrote in 2011. It includes the source of Sen. Lindsay Graham’s emergence as the pitch man on this issue. politicalresearch.org/2011/03/01/c...

Please arm yourself with knowledge. Birthright citizenship is not a policy choice it is a constitutional imperative (14th Amendment). It can no more be signed away by Executive Order than the First Amendment.

"The list names an Army officer who traveled to 14 historically Black colleges to expand recruitment"

Since these people are literally using "woke" to mean "entertained the thought of hiring a Black person," opposition to DEI, affirmative action, etc. should be understood as support for segregation

I don't care about your flavor or rhythm of feudal lord and oligarch.

Tax them all to Dante's Inferno.
Now to add some nuance… yall ready for the intersectionality politics?

What about black & non/white male billionaires? Who beat all odds & fought racism/sexism etc.. to get to where they are?

Does wealth & who deserves to have generational wealth matter?

"Wealth is the financial backbone of unearned advantage. While hard work is pitched as the key to financial success, the top 1 percent of American wealth holders...typically collect $500,000 or more from annual investments alone."-Garrett Neiman (2023)

🚨Trump's already showing us that he's intending on following through with Project 2025, which means dismantling Veterans' healthcare. This is not only a betrayal, but dangerous to the lives and well-being of those who’ve served.

Please read and share this critical information!

The world’s richest 1% have more wealth than the bottom 95% put together, according to Oxfam.

There is no moral justification for this extraordinary level of inequality.

It's distorting politics, rigging our markets, and granting unprecedented power to a handful of people.
World’s top 1% own more wealth than 95% of humanity, as “the shadow of global oligarchy hangs over UN General Assembly,” says Oxfam | Oxfam International

The argument against regulation is always the same: “It stifles growth and jobs.”

But just as tax cuts for corporations have not trickled down, regulatory cuts have not benefited most people.

Big companies enjoy bigger profits. Working people bear the costs.

"There are a bunch of elites who really control society."

Yeah. And you willingly gave them the keys to government.
A government run by billionaires will never be for the people.
