Removing the cap will hurt undercapitalized / smaller market teams. USL Super League serves that need very well, and this is a come to Jesus moment for NWSL, USL, and US Soccer to work with, not against each other.

From the outside, obvious that the ACFC front office should have held firm for way, WAY higher transfer fee.
hard to feel like ACFC didn't get fleeced. if the player wants to go it makes it hard to negotiate but oof, that feels like half-price for a player of Thompson's ceiling with 3 years left on her contract...
