Key omissions in usual "blame Israel" narrative: 1) Hamas command center with operatives, rockets, other arms hiding in what was supposed to be a civilian only humanitarian zone. 2) Multiple lethal rocket attacks vs Israeli civilians launched from humanitarian zone - each a war crime. The imminent collapse of the Assad regime can be traced to October 8 2023, when Tehran's proxy (Hezbollah) - reinforced the heinous Hamas attack vs. Israel. Hezbollah & the IRGC were essential in propping up Assad. 11 months later, the IDF began to tear Hezbollah apart, also weakening Assad.

5) For 15 years (since 2009 Goldstone Gaza report farce) much of the Israeli legal establishment, including senior judges & academics, relied on fact-based argumentation (principle of "complementarity") and ignored or severely understated the power politics -- a very costly error in judgement.

4) The US never joined the ICC, even under Obama and Biden, and Congressional leaders will sanction ICC officials. Other governments will eventually follow -- by 2028, the continued existence of the ICC is unlikely.
