University presidents are a good example. Each new hire gets a very substantial pay bump because they “have to” keep up with other universities’ pay rates, regardless of whether the job is comparable.

As you pack, number each box & keep a spreadsheet of what’s in the box. That way you can easily figure out which box to open to find the coffee pot etc. I’m still using that spreadsheet years after moving.
