People know. When youve made south park, people look into you. IMHO

Read that Democrats demanded Steven Millers firing for the temporary funding, that was the negotiation fwiw.

You are only showing your lack of understanding two things, comprehension of a contract, and the application of the rules within it.
January 27, 2026 at 9:00 PM
"it did very little while it was enforced."

Then why did Reagan remove it?

But moreover, Fox news wouldnt be allowed to operate as it is today if we had an updated version, meaning for cable/internet and social media.
January 27, 2026 at 8:58 PM
You’re confusing enforcement thresholds with doctrinal scope and it required affirmative coverage of public issues and reasonable diversity of viewpoints.
The FCC’s own 1983 review reaffirmed that.
Also, you sited a failed complaint, that only furthered my accurate understanding of the FD.
January 27, 2026 at 7:17 PM
"did air at different times, different days..."

That is exactly what the "FD" prevented.

It mandated that both sides be presented at the same time, and on the same night/day, so the audience can come to their own best conclusion of the presented subject matter.
January 27, 2026 at 7:04 PM
You asking me to point to "how the FD was applied," neglecting that that is exactly what Im doing right now. ie- how it was applied across the broadcasting channels(between bunny ear tech or tv at the time), and asking for its update today, we would NOT have a "foxnews." You *could google this.🤷‍♂️
January 24, 2026 at 3:55 PM
The FD was about presenting ideas of controversy,(and opinions in editorials) in a fair and balanced way, by forcing BOTH side of the story to be shared equally at the same time.

Moreover, we most definitely need it back, AND updated for todays times.

Since the original poster blocked or stopped we cant go back for reference. At this point, youve mangled any kind of constructive conversation or debate, and twisted logic into a pretzel Kruger. Go fuck yourself even if your left mf.
January 23, 2026 at 12:49 AM
In a fair and balanced way, across all air waves and major news stations.
So, what fox news is doing now, wouldnt have been allowed under this Doctrine. Since theyre NOT providing fair and balanced reporting.
The mental gymnastics rn is ridiculous Kruger.
January 23, 2026 at 12:46 AM
You’re looping back to the same framing instead of addressing the doctrine itself. I’m not going to keep circling this with you, because of your bad faith argument and fucking harassment Dunning Kruger.
January 23, 2026 at 12:39 AM
You are excersizing the Dunning Kruger effect. Both of you. F the "education" at this point.
January 22, 2026 at 9:32 PM
You keep demanding “proof” while ignoring the actual precedent. The Fairness Doctrine explicitly required broadcasters to present opposing views on public issues. Red Lion v. FCC (1969) upheld that.

You’re not disproving anything—you’re just repeating demands and ignoring precedent. The Doctrine mandated opposing views. Red Lion v. FCC confirmed it. Credentials aren’t citations.
