I always forget that some games were actually released on December 25.
New Play Control for Pikmin in 2008, followed by Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter in 2013.

Last night I downloaded the demo for FF7 Remake on my Switch 2. I started playing while my wife was scrolling through her phone. At one point, she looked up and asked, "What movie is this?" I told her, "No, honey, it’s a game." She replied, "That looks nothing like Animal Crossing."
Here’s a screenshot of Cloud and below this comment a clip from an early cutscene in the FF7 Remake demo. I love how it looks, and I honestly don’t care that it came out on another console years ago. I’m just glad I get to experience it on Switch 2. Download, press play, and enjoy. #Switch2

This video shows me going back to the title screen in FF7 Remake Demo on my Switch 2 and then loading back into my save. I counted about a 9-second load time. What do you think? Is that good? I don’t have a PS5, so I’m curious to hear how it compares.

I’m all for learning, even when it means rethinking my own takes. Had a good conversation last night that helped me better understand review scales, reviewer perspective, and review aggregators. Always happy to learn and adjust how I see things.
Still wild to me that IGN gave the Switch 2 a 7. Is it perfect? No. Could they have done more? Yes. But a 7 feels harsh. For me, that’s basically a C. As a teacher, a 70 is barely passing. That doesn’t reflect the upgrade or the overall experience.
