That said, this move is also a bit bittersweet. I’ve spent my entire post-PhD academic career in the Welsh university system, most recently at @swanseauni.bsky.social, and Wales has shaped both my professional values and my wider work across the research-policy-practice interface.

...I’m really excited about working with colleagues across @bristoluni.bsky.social on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of digital technology/AI, society, education and public policy, and to continue connecting academic work with real-world government and policy challenges.

1. Pausing new submissions about AI topics for 90 days. That is, papers about AI models, testing AI models, proposing AI models, theories about the future of AI, etc. We will make exceptions for papers that are already accepted for publication (or published) in peer-reviewed scholarly journals
