Finally got the chance to meet one of my heroes in-person yesterday during one of his book tours!

I was way more nervous than the picture suggests, but Cory Doctorow isn’t just a fighter for better tech (and a more open web), but he’s also a humble legend!

Haven’t got myself a cassette player yet, but I’ve got one more tape that I couldn’t pass up on #BandcampFriday. Having it hand-delivered was a pleasant surprise! 😊📦

I decided to swap out the Unbound Reading Club pin badges—which used to be in the bottom-center of my desktop shadow box—with the Iconfactory duo and it feels complete to me!

It’s a bit early here in the US (GMT -5/EST), but I’ve got morning shift duty so I’ll say it early: Happy New Year! 🍾🥳🎉

2024 has been a quiet year on the blog, and a bit of a rough ride overall. I’ve got plans to keep myself sane for next year (and to ensure that 2025 is a good year).

Sad to see the bird-site decay like this, but it was for the best.
