Finished the inventory and world events (basically everything that gets saved by the game), now I only need to make the ally system (party members) and I can actually start making all the levels and new enemies!

Today I added something that the original GameMaker version didn't have: Player talk animations!
I've wanted to add these for a while and I think they make Alex be not as disconnected to the NPCs that are talking to her

Alright, enemies are working now, they have AI, can attack and die.

Now to polish a little (at least make them finish the attack if they started it) and make the player have health and be able to die too.

These days, I made the pause menu for the game (alongside some other stuff that isn't ready for showing).

Alright, I have added basic combat!

Now I have to add enemy AI (with death animation), hit effects and some particles and we will have an actual game again!

Alright, a lot of work has gone into the background (mainly because it was hurting my eyes), and I dare say it looks better than even my original attempt, even on its unfinished state!

Now the attack is working normally, with even the bounce if you hit a wall, and sounds too.

I've progressed a lot on NPCs and lighting, as well as doors

Soon I will get back to combat, but I wanted to do something less complex to understand the difference between engines and get more comfortable with it before making more complex enemies and Alex's attacks

It is not a full demo because I needed to have something playable to have a chance to be at EVA (Argentina) to showcase my game in person

Well, here we have the main gimmick for the marble caves!

Very much inspired by a blue mascot, but making it was a challenge that I wanted to tackle, and now I have, and it makes some sense inside this kind of cave to have this.

Remember back when when I was obsessed with making rotating circles? no? Well, I spent days trying to make them work well, and I couldn't get it to work... This took me less than an hour and it's everything I wanted.

Leaves now look like leaves and it honestly feels so much more lively with this!

Finished 1 version of each tree, and I have to say, the transition is looking really good!
Now to make the other ones, luckily I've gotten into the rhythm of the lighting of the trees, so it will be just a 1 or 2 day thing... I hope
