Fair enough. 🤔
It was just a shock, as it was an experimental file that messed with loads of settings.. (I remember frequently crashes back in the day.)
Really, it's ultimately an argument for software archiving.. As long as the software version is available, everything should be recoverable.

Hah.. Yeah...
Consider the alternative though..

Just the other day I was going through old files and found a 10+ year old blender file..

I was GENUINELY horrified that modern blender opened it without issue. Some things really SHOULDN'T work.

Huzzah for chair! May the spine be cradled in ergonomic engineering!
July 15, 2025 at 4:00 PM
I hope you find a good chair that doesn't kill you, or your art!..

But now I'm worried about my chair.. It screams everytime I lean forward or back.. Is that a bad sign?

I mean, I just fried up some onion, cabbage, and mushrooms in some teriyaki sauce to put on my three hotdogs.. Does that count?

Alt: Footage of the eponymous 'Lucy' from "I Love Lucy", an old black and white TV show. She's looking up and sticking her tongue out indignantly.

Congratulations!
The eponymous research rabbit hole!

That's delightful! Great bit of world-building logic too!

Oohh! I love the designs of these "Shenji"!

Great use of hair, ears, and skin, (fur?) tones to make characters that look distinct, while also being part of a unique species. Very good!

Started uni' in 2020! 👉👉
My freshman year roommate was an empty bed with a foil tablecloth on it to keep the dust off!

Ohh? Hey those sheets look handy! Would a printable file be available anywhere?

Ok, sure.. Larry sounds great and all.. But can we talk a moment longer about scorpion doing the laundry? I feel like we aren't appreciating that enough.

Inaccurate and unrealistic:

Clark has been using the same glasses since he was 16 and can't afford new frames.

He popped the lenses out years ago and lives in fear of the day someone notices.

Odd stuff.

But not as odd as how bsky seams to hate showing me your profile pic..

Specifically, YOURS.

Sometimes shows up in qoutes as pictured, but nowhere else...

Anyway, perhaps your just cursed by the app?

I'm six minutes in and deeply entertained by the microphone arm taking up so much of the screen space while being so useless. Great stuff!

Oh, uh.. Oopse! 😅

Well I suppose my post was more about offering a different perspective than being unnecessarily rude, but..

Actually, I'm interested now.

In all seriousness, What's it like having online-only friends and contacts? How'd you even do that? I struggle to keep up with people irl..

There are no "Walled Gardens" for me. I've just been a spectator to the rise and fall of these things, only ever taking my own experience away from something that meant a lot more to the people who made it what it was.
