Also, maybe Nintendo couldn't find the NA ROMs for some of them, as we know they've used ROMs from pirate sites before for these kinds of services and other products. The classic consoles were filled with pirated ROMs.

Some versions got bug fixes that others didn't, but its the EU versions that are normally more fucked due to releasing before NA ones, so fuck knows.
