Playing CyberPunk 2077 got hooked on levelling up to get a decent sandevistan gun/katana build. Found that jobs gave a decent amount of XP for time to complete. Level 45 and 120 jobs/side missions later, I'm now one shotting striking most enemies. Maybe I need to start focusing on story again 😅

IT: Welcome to Derry Chapter 1 mini review -

One of the few series that had me hooked from start to finish - in part due to my extremely short attention span 🤣

Story, cinematography, effects, and "wtf" moments, far exceeded my expectations as I wasn't a great fan of the last 2 movies. Solid 9/10

Five Nights at Freddies 2 mini movie review -

Bit of fun, some creepy as hell bits here and there and couple of twists. Ending tad frustrating and lots of fan service as seems to dig deeper into the game lore, which can be a bit of a best guess at times for references.

Worth a watch for sure 6/10

Posting a little late since I overindulged in the festivities a tiny bit 🤏🥳🍻🫶

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.

I was lucky enough to have a Venezuelan Hallaca for Chritsmas eve 🙌

The perks of having Venezuelan family living in same country. Feeling blessed ☺️

Next year to learn myself.

Pluribus (Apple TV) mini review -

Scifi premise amazing, first 2 episodes hooked. Then nothing really changes and turns into a psychological slow burner. Not sure about humour mentioned neither.

Couldn't finish it but may come back to it some other time, but no score till I do (or if)

Claire Obscure Expedition 33 (PS5) mini review -

I went off turn based combat years ago, but damn, this game made it it's own.

Purchased in April, but the world, story, and game play was so amazing that I refused to play it in the lighter months of the summer, hence completed in November.

9/10

NOS4A2 (Netflix) mini review -

Couldn't finish it as pacing too slow and plot so predictable by the time they get to a reveal it's hugely underwhelming.

Shame as stellar performance from Zachary Quinto and others.

No score as not fair to since I didn't finish it.

Fk it, may as well do mini series review and video games also. I watch way too much and play way too much during the colder months.

This is what winter's for right?

Just an overabundance of media to consume 🤣

Since I watch so many movies a year, I may as well post them all here as the mini reviews.

I watch a ridiculous amount of new movies, at least 1 to 3 a week.

This does mean I do watch a lot of crap also, but at least you won't have to lol.

By end of 2026 I can do a mini round up also 😬

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora finally had 3rd person view added as an update today.

So glad I didn't sell my copy. Tried my best in 1st person view but the amount of accurate platforming and run and gunning was just ridiculously awkward in 1st person view.

Thank you Ubisoft 👌

Bugonia super mini review -

Bah it's ok, great acting all in all and the amount of 'fking hell' moments makes it worth a watch.

Mid ending, understand it's meant to be humorous but still wasted opportunity.

7/10

Man, watched Dan Da Dan at daughter's request since she knows I'm 80s/90s anime kid lol.

This scene though and the story behind it 😭

For those that get paid the last working day of the month, happy Friday and payday in one.

Shame were all skint by the end of the day due to Christmas 😃🍻🎄

There's many downfalls that AI can bring, but one thing I'm eager for is for retro games from the early to mid 3D era to have assets auto-modernised in future emulators, not just upscaling

Imagine no longer waiting for a remake that may never happen for PS1/2/N64/GC/Dreamcast/Xbox suddenly possible

Right, next game to get me through winter is Cyberpunk 2077. Been looking forward to this one so started it last night once kids settled and in bed.

Wtf is it with first person view modes in games. Even my wife said she was surprised I hadn't turned it off within 30 minutes 🤷‍♂️😭🤣

Super short movie review - The Long Walk

My emotions took a bashing watching this. It hits hard and at the same time it makes you remember certain qualities in life you forget about.

It truly felt like an emotional rollercoaster without giving anything away.

8.5/10 for me, watch it.

I'm one secret boss away from 100% Expedition 33 on ps5 and it's the first time in years I'm bummed out that my playthrough is nearly over.

The only other games that I felt similar for in the last decade or so were FF7 Remake, God of War 2018, Kingdom Hearts, Sonic Frontiers, Batman Arkham Knight.

Bah, Autumn isn't so bad after all.

Happy Saturday all!!

Lmao, the Daily Mail being its usual negativity generating nonsense, making out as if a few tweets on X means the majority aren't looking forward to Gremlins 3.

In the real world my step father, brother, and 2 daughters (Gen X all way to Alpha) are very much excited.

Marching Powder movie super short review:

Doesn't reach same level as Football Factory or Human Traffic but still not bad at all.

Can see a lot of old friends relating to the movie rather than me, but reminds me that I dodged a bullet when I decided to put that sort of life behind me 15yrs ago

Dead of Winter movie super short review:

Goes round in circles alot, takes too long to get to the point. Frustrating choices also which are all too common for thrillers.

Enjoyable but hardly memorable.
