I'm saying this because I want you know the religion isn't what you think it to be. Religion is truth and that truth is Christ. For Christ is everywhere, everything, all-prevading, ever blissful, never ending, and immensely sweet.

Many saints have experienced this type of Mad Bliss like Mansur Al Hallaj, St Teresa of Avila, St Basil the Holy Fool for Christ, St John of the Cross, and most famously, St Francis of Assisi.

"Then God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being (Gen 2:7). Remember that I define "spirit" (pneuma = πνεῦμα = breath) in both biblical and contemporary terminology as "spirit-breath-consciousness."

Next, this "glory" or awakening was given or transmitted to Jesus' close friends. "When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, 'Receive holy spirit'" (John 20:22 – there is no "the" in the Greek before holy spirit here). Here it is Jesus doing the breathwork instead of God.

When Jesus said he and his Abba God were one, he meant they deeply loved each other. In more expansive terms, the essential reality of his own True Self was the ultimate reality of Oneness of the Universe – a single indivisible, infinite reality.

Next, speaking of "abide" again, he says, "As Abba God has loved me, so I have loved you. Abide in my love" (15:9). Jesus connects Oneness with resting in his love. It is like being "in" love. That's Jesus' vision of Oneness.

The branches are literally in the vine, growing outward. To "abide" in Jesus means to rest and be at home in him- as God has destined for all men to rise and be fruitful. Just like how the Living Lord stated in the Garden of Eden.

The point that I am trying to make is that Oneness was more important than any Religion. Jesus' beautiful imagery for this Oneness was, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Abide in me as I in you" (John 15:4-5). The vine and branches are attached to one another without separation.
