The picture below was taken during the protests that erupted after a cop murdered Alexis Grigoropoulos back in in 2008. The state's claim to a monopoly in the use of violence is not voluntarily held back when people rise against it.

Focusing on his toddler-level narcissism, her bootlicking desperation or the committees’ response somehow misses the point. Nobel prizes have lost their (already symbolic) meaning and can now be openly paraded as irrelevant. Like, say, international law.
