Recently we released a fight Bill grieve that had been rehabilitated after a road strike! Be safe little bird!

In addition, she showed me the leading edge of the owl's wing and how the fieathers there allow for silent flight, and because the owl was anesthetized I got to pet it to feel how soft the feathers actually were on its back and its chest! It was an incredible experience!

Last week was pretty amazing at the Wildlife Rehabilitation center. The doctor on staff allo showed me the anatomy of an anesthetized great horned owl. I got to see the inside of an owl's ear and through there the eye tube as I call it because it's not really an eyeball in shape.

Owls are such incredible raptors!
