Curious, which country? And do the laws allow this? In Peru, you would need a specific kind of concession. Interesting idea.

What locals are your referring to? The mosquitos? Because they are just doing their job. Amazonian people, tend to be very welcoming.

Regarding #1, Cell service and data is increasingly throughout the Amazon. In a place with very few roads, telecommunications is life saving. The commercial transportation known as rapidos often also now use Starlink's mobile version to provide people with service. Problematic and also lifesaving.

It is a prized part of Peruvian culture, and one of the most common types of restaurants. Nikkei cuisine (Japanese Peruvian) is also extremely popular.

Immigration to Latin America is generally poorly understood. Re Chinese immigration to Peru, there are plenty of people with Chinese ancestry in our communities, as well as people with Lebanese, African, European, ...24 hours by speed boat from the nearest city in the middle of the Amazon.
