A crossdressing otome isekai that focuses more on fighting the patriarchy than the romance.

If you are looking for something to read during the holidays got a few Otome Isekai recommendations.

[The Male Lead's Little Lion Daughter]
[Another Typical Fantasy Romance]
[Beware the Villainess]
[I Shall Master This Family]

All of them wholesome stories. No (little) angst or drama.
[The Male Lead's Little Lion Daughter] is a very typical otome isekai power fantasy. A powerless child protagonist is adopted by a wealthy, powerful and ruthless tyrant, and she uses her newfound authority to enact her revenge and fulfill her every wishes. It is not a unique premise, but this is my absolute favourite execution of it. The father / daughter relationship is the highlight. With the characters' personalities creating both amusing situations with their snark, and wholesome scenes of bonding as the daughter opens up about her trauma to a most supportive father. I wholeheartedly recommend this manhwa, even if you aren't usually into the child raising genre (which I am not either). It is one of my all time favourites. [Another Typical Fantasy Romance] is the most wholesome green flag romance story I have ever read. It is an extremely fluffy romance story, with almost non-stop romance. There is hardly a chapter without the protagonists being lovely dovely. ⚠️This manhwa contains depictions of (wholesome) sex scenes, though no genitalia is shown.⚠️ The manhwa follows Lithera on her third reincarnation. Being fed up with the politics and drama in the empire's capital, she escapes to the frigid north where she finds warmth in the sweetest and kindest man in the world. Like the cover of the manhwa has no doubt let on, the "gimmick" of this Otome Isekai is that the male lead does not look as unblemished and convenionally pretty as the male leads in other romance comics. He is a rugged looking man with beard, unkempt hair and scars. Very uncharacteristic for the genre. The main overarching plot of the manhwa focuses on the two leads healing from the scars of the past through healthy communication and mutual respect. There is also a more politics and action focused side plot, but the fluffy romance is the primary focus, and if you are only reading it for the action and politics, you might find it a bit boring. I recommend this to any fans of the Otome Isekai genre or romance in general. Though with the warning that I have heard from single people that it was very painful to read about such an amazing relationship. [Beware the villainess] has a fairly standard settup for an otome isekai. A girl is reincarnated into the body of a villainess and needs to fight (mainly in the field of politics) to survive. It has strong humour and has a powerful protagonist without becoming a straight up power fantasy. The romance, although with caveats is enjoyable, and carries it to the end. This is a good read for fans of the Otome Isekai genre, and I recommend it to fans and newcomers. This is one of the pillars of the otome isekai genre. An absolute recommend to genre fans, or those wanting to check the subgenre out. It is a wonderful light power fantasy / revenge fantasy that is able to keep the tensions up even though the protagonist holds all (or at least a lot of) the cards. The protagonist's house falls to ruin after being taken over by an incompetent heir. She is transported back in time to when she was a child and uses her knowledge of the future to change the fate of her noble house.

i think one interesting accidental worldbuilding in otome isekai is having a negligent father who resents the protag bc their mom dyed in childbirth.

and then later having a cold Male Lead who is singlemindedly obsessed with the female lead. and then when they get married, they have kids.

It's another romance isekai manhwa about a girl that first isekai'ed then turned back in time that is full of nobles fighting, political games and the mc being badass.
All that I like!

I generally do not mind 3D assets for backgrounds in Manhwa/Manhua if the artist does a good job at blending it with the actual artstyle of the comic.

Sadly the majority make no such effort...

I've seen A FEW readers say they do not care as long as long as it means faster releases.

Not reviewing [I Will Live Freely in Another World with Equipment Manufacturing Cheat] isekai but I have to talk about a scene.

A character actually receives Gender Affirming Surgery! And everyone is supportive...
Except the protagonist from Japan! Why!?

He keeps complaining it is weird. Non stop!
A page from the manga. The protagonist talks about the origins of his golem companion Goleo and how she might consider herself feminine. A page later in the chapter where he sees that Goleo has taken a more feminine shape thanks to the support of two girls. Both native to the fantasy world, one fairy* and a mage. They hired a sculptor to chisel the body of the golem. The page right after showing that Goleo sadly reverted to her old shape due to the system recognizing her changes as damage to her body. A chapter later and the protagonist is thinking about how weird the whole ordeal was with Goleo. Something he has done througout the entire comic whenever Goleo does or want something feminine. It is so weird how he is the only one against this.

I did not know the discord art scam bots were so versatile.
A scam both contacts me on discord about selling art to me. I say no to it and asks for a recipe for South Korean Honey glazed meatballs instead. The bot actually delivers and gives me a very obviously chatGPTed recipe.
