But I think in general concerts are much much better now than in the 80s/90s, especially at big gigs. The sound quality alone is like night and day. Add to that the advances in video and production value. It's a good thing because they are so much more expensive now...

Pulp is the obvious answer here but I think it’s worth acknowledging that Oasis is a much more complex exciting and dynamic live band today than they were way back when. Not sure that there is any more artistry on display, per se.

Both The Fablemans and WSS are masterpieces, but saying that in the context of Spielberg is underselling it. Not only are these two masterpieces, they are also both profoundly deep explorations of the power of cinema. They are also unlike any of his other 10 or 12 masterpieces.

So I was over 50 years old when I figured out the saying "it's always in the last place you look" meant that "you stop looking after you find it" instead of "it's probably in the most random place you can think of."
