My neighbor across the street and a house over decided to start flying a confederate flag yesterday. He’s surrounded by gay and POC neighbors in a town known for tolerance. Our house has this sign in the front yard, a California flag and rainbow lights around the roofline, we’re allies. Stay tuned.

Maxine left us the day before Halloween. Her loss has been hard. She’s now rolling in the grass, eating violets & meat tubes, & sleeping in the sun with her brothers & sisters who were waiting for her. We were holding her when she passed and I sang Maxine by Donald Fagen to her as always. 💔

I’m bringing a whole bunch of new wreaths and headbands to @shopatfavor next week! I’m also doing some themed ones this year, White Christmas, I Love Lucy, Golden Girls and Perry Mason. I dye trees because I rarely find colors I want, so I DO IT MYSELF!

I’m bringing a whole bunch of new wreaths and headbands to @shopatfavor next week! I’m also doing some themed ones this year, White Christmas, I Love Lucy, Golden Girls and Perry Mason. I dye trees because I rarely find colors I want, so I DO IT MYSELF!

Up all night working and marveling about the quiet of the village we call home. The sun has risen and the view is like Eden, hummingbirds, tons of other birds, roses and bougainvillea. I am glad to be here even though I’m sad from losing our 17 year old beloved Maxine this week. 💔🌈

I almost never make Thanksgiving holiday things, BUT I had a bunch of fruits and autumnal colors so I made a centerpiece. The tiny fifties-era vintage record of Nat King Cole’s recording of Autumn Leaves. I would have made it just to get to use that that sweet little item alone!
