Flu shot helps to reduce the severity.. it’s not 100 % ; Tamiflu or any antiviral is best taken no more than 48 hrs after symptoms present in order for it to be effective 😉

I know anecdotes don't mean much, but I took Tamiflu when I got the flu in 2017. It didn't help much. The next year I started getting the yearly flu shot. Got the flu again in 2023, but it only lasted a couple days with mild symptoms.

So sorry to disagree with you about Tamiflu but it is really not one of the best drugs (jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...). But I agree with get a flu shot, even by the nose if you’re afraid of needles.
