I've also noticed the narratives are inconsistent. It sucks because while I'm able to realize that, I genuinely have no idea how or where to get correct information. What's worse is knowing that the type of person I am is part of the problem. Who and what do I believe? That's propaganda working.

But the Yoshi ride was SO good theming wise, and it was designed for 6 year olds. Like, the "In Water" ending is in this, and it's not the end of the movie. I kind of like the ending this movie has.

The game is way better, but the fact I didn't hate a single moment in this says a lot.

I played the Enhanced Edition mod of the old PC release of Silent Hill 2 last year so I'm pretty familiar with the original. I like how this was a retelling of the story but changed a few things and Incorporated specific scenes in interesting ways.
