This is not the same type of problem, and it won’t be resolved in the usual ways.

The USA will have to deal with this in the decades to come.

Importantly, Le isn’t withdrawing due to the fact that she has a bad boss. She is resigning because the USA has become a lawless banana republic.

I don’t think she did this intentionally. She just appears to have broken under the system and given lack of training. This is grueling work.
But I think this is better than a clean exit, because the system can’t work « as intended » right now.

A court can be a place to understand what is going on. This is what happened.
But more importantly, Le isn’t operating in normal circumstances. She is blowing the whistle, in a system whose main aim is to break the law.

The « n » is for « not ». As in, not ice.

Please replace « pushing the limits » by « breaking the Constitution ».

St Trivium sur Bourge is pretty cool. I wonder, if you have to translate DotL into English, how would you translate this?
January 16, 2026 at 2:23 PM
Hahahah, ville de colles would have meant city of glue :D
And colles means gangs in catalan apparently

3) It’s easy to give advice to not suck up to Trump, but not all countries are placed in the same boat. Noone is invading Germany and France. But Poland? Or Estonia? They can’t afford to be mean to Trump.

2) Ms Sloan is an obvious expert, but she will likely not be part of the next administration. Accordingly, she gives unique advice, but like you said, the message is already given by all tbe experts. Will her letter make a difference? What does it bring more than what we already have?
January 3, 2026 at 10:05 AM
The letter is very poignant and summarizes the issues well, but do you think it’s really necessary?
1) I get the feeling that the EU political players have understood the message, but have trouble implementing it un practice for internal reasons (France for budget, etc.)
January 3, 2026 at 10:03 AM
Why do you think that Germany’s relationship with France will change due to its increasing presence in the military? Do you think that Germany will re-arm so efficiently so as to eclipse France?

AI replaces entrance level positions, this is the entire problem.

What did they do?
December 9, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Can they actually enforce this? Like, if the EU says « fine, but four freedoms bla bla » and imposes de facto freedom of movement, can’t he just say « well, I tried, but they just asked too much ».

Look at you, assuming quality! 😂

Fyi, Swift had said something about the music industry, how they propel you to AMAZING fame, but also sort of dig your grave in the meantime, to replace you (especially young pop singers).
December 6, 2025 at 4:11 PM
It is true that sometimes, your 2nd stand up is worst than your 1st. It is also true that fame affects how your jokes land. But it doesn’t mean you have nothing else to talk about.
It may mean you need a break to do your next thing properly tho; or that you should try new stuff.
December 6, 2025 at 4:10 PM
What is better though? Would you prefer young Carlin or old Carlin?
There is some stuff that washes out as you age, bc you are no longer that person. But it doesn’t mean you can’t go on.

They didn’t use to be, but reps promised tech paradise.
December 3, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Do you think having access to music has really reduced the fact for people to sing in a pub?
November 30, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Have a wonderful day as well!

Not to mention that there has also been significant precedent re-recognition. Not to mention that this ignores the social climate: in Bulgaria gay men avoid even holding hands! And we act as if gay marriage is now legalized…
November 25, 2025 at 11:49 PM
It’s also completely ignoring the meaning of the case. This is importznt, and it’s a victory, but saying it’s Obergefell is false, so instead of celebrating what it is, we need to fight about what it’s not.
November 25, 2025 at 11:47 PM
That’s not true. Also, there was already precedent on the topic of recognition of gay marriage. So not even that new.
