Like there ways for self-mental care that don’t rely on buying shit to make you feel “secure”, if at all I would argue that just makes a problem worse. It’s short sighted.

When I first learned of retail therapy, my thought was “wow, that’s just blatantly capitalist.” And it just feels unethical from like psychological view point, as we are not tackling the problem, but instead finding other distractions.

Thing is, people like us with NPD can function, it’s a spectrum. With that being said, given when Trump grew up, our understanding of the disorder was still relatively new, and men of his generation most defiantly saw therapy for women and crazy people.

And we still do for the most part, but that won’t always be there, as those that remember the Civil’s rights legislation will eventually die (along with my fathers Gen that had parents who drilled that into them), and the younger generation will become apathetic because our needs aren’t being met

Dawg, they never cared about us in The queer community. But if you are of my community (black) you kind of already figured that out already. Cause they were riding on the civil rights bill from 67, and expected younger people of our community to keep voting for them because of that.
