No it’s not. I’m under 75, healthy but had a heart operation as a kid - I’m offered one.

It’s hardly a reasonable comparison.

It’s easy to be a deontologist from afar - being a utilitarian like the PM (has to be) is a lot harder

Labour’s austerity, labour’s priority lane during covid, labour’s privatisations then

Labour’s Brexit? 🤔

My game crashed when I loaded it ack in 84 and gave me this message by accident - there was a competition at the time with a prize for completion - so I sent off the message and got a free copy of fall guy.

As a huge manic miner fan on the speccy, this is the game the persuaded me to jump to C64 - continue my love for the platformer but with better graphics and sound

Yes I’m hoping they continue to F up and provide lots of case studies of incompetence

I hope…my fear is that peoples lives won’t have improved enough for them to be steered away from a vote for populist simple solutions that can’t work. Their voters
Still think Brexit didn’t work because of the left. We’re the US but one election cycle behind.
November 23, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Sure from a moral perspective, but they’ll win the election. The US is a mirror image of- telling the public that Trump is bad didn’t work - people held their nose
November 23, 2025 at 12:18 PM
The approach to taking down Farage has to shift away from showing he’s bad. The people that like him don’t mind these views of his - or agree with them. It surely must be about showing something more important to them than immigration is in jeopardy
November 23, 2025 at 11:39 AM
Yes that’s what I said

“This action must be done with the purpose of advancing a political, religious, racial, or ideological cause”: terrorism act 2000
November 2, 2025 at 1:42 PM
That’s not to be flippant - terror can be the minor thing I mentioned up to the most terrifying situation those poor people faced - but feeling terror doesn’t make the cause a terrorist
November 2, 2025 at 1:38 PM
Poor take. Terrorism has a specific definition. I felt terror for a second when I dropped my phone, hoping the screen hadn’t smashed.

Unfortunately for them the party doesn’t get to decide who follows the law
October 28, 2025 at 5:26 PM
I notice the BBC headline on this fails to mention this story related to the previous conservative govt

Out of interest I just asked chat gpt to summarise JK Rowlings views on this matter based upon their quotes and writings.

It would be a blessing if reform takes control of lots of councils with a few years before the general election- they’ll mess it up, giving everyone a snapshot and they’ll be toast by 2029
October 25, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Are you saying there haven’t been any recent violent attacks on Muslims?
October 13, 2025 at 9:06 AM
I’d say Netanyahu would be that one man
October 2, 2025 at 10:32 AM
Not sure what the problem is with his statements that people that have failed to be accepted as genuine asylum seekers and are not under serious threat (by definition) should be allowed to stay based upon what amounts to a legal technicality. What’s the argument to allow right to stay?
October 1, 2025 at 10:03 AM
Don’t check which documents?
September 28, 2025 at 11:24 PM
Real time check of right to work… If employers know they can’t plausibly deny knowledge (because they’re required to check the digital ID), the risk of heavy fines or prosecution for hiring illegal workers becomes higher.
