"We just want to make sure our season is longer than the college football season."

All I know is this: if they dare expand a season that is already too long, then I am HOPING for "load management" games. Yup, every team that plays the Raiders, Cardinals, & Browns rests all starters those games.

In other words: "We know everyone knows so we will say as little as possible about it and do even less."

He can do better. Like retiring.

Scapegoating at its finest.
January 31, 2026 at 2:36 AM
Great, that solves their problem of ... hmmm ...
January 31, 2026 at 2:35 AM
Hope he buys a highrise condo where the eggs can't reach.

They always say there are "only" 32 of these jobs. So what? That doesn't make them all worth taking just because of short supply. 10 more will open up next year.
January 30, 2026 at 6:25 AM
Again, those teams would be the exact same if they just didn't have a head coach... or any coaches, for that matter. The positions are just figureheads on top of dung.

Monken after week one:
"Guys, it has been a privilege to be your head coach. It's now on my wiki page forever. I'm stepping away. Good luck to you all."
January 29, 2026 at 5:38 AM
26 will be the year of 14 "come from ahead to win" victories.
January 28, 2026 at 4:58 AM
Folk are crapping on the hire for no reason. They stink on offense so they got a good offensive mind. And no one has offered a better option.
January 28, 2026 at 4:56 AM
Do they really need one?
January 28, 2026 at 4:26 AM
I think I just might reach out to Rich Kotite before Gruden. Or just go without a coach at said position than Gruden.
January 28, 2026 at 4:24 AM
Why get booed and egged when you can work with a real quarterback in a place that shows love?
January 27, 2026 at 5:34 AM
And it would have been the same in bright sunshine.
January 26, 2026 at 5:35 AM
If no weather came in, the 2nd half would have gone just like the first. And the first was less watchable than the second because the second at least had some rare nature to look at. It spared us from seeing more garbage football like the first half was. Snow did our eyes a favor.
January 26, 2026 at 5:34 AM
Maye and Stidham were just lighting it up and scoring like pinball machines before the snow came in. Wait... Yeah before the weather came in, those guys wouldn't be started... I mean, stopped. No, I was right. They couldn't get started.
January 26, 2026 at 5:32 AM
Looks a lot like the first half.
January 26, 2026 at 3:42 AM
The quality of that game (or lack thereof) was the same in both halves. So what is there to complain about?
January 26, 2026 at 3:37 AM
If every single reason was "I lost this game," then it's correct. If he said anything other than that, then it's the same ol' "Blame someone else" guy he's been known to be.
January 26, 2026 at 3:33 AM
And after two years of being a Raider, when we see the Ryan Leaf clip part 2, we'll say "An NFL team ruined yet another good QB."
January 24, 2026 at 4:46 AM
Fans don't care much about these things. They shout MVP just as cheer for their QB a lot (usually because their name doesn't make for a good chant).
Media argues it as filler from wk 1 and we'd even rather have Cardinals or Titans highlights between Dallas takes instead of MVP takes.
January 23, 2026 at 11:04 AM
What does a mid-level WR have to do with anything anyway? Sometimes you hit on the draft and sometimes you get ... Kevin White. It happens. That ain't why your team lost playoff games though.
