WRITING A NEW LECTURE on vision, diffusion, +surrogate transfomers (ViT/DiT/SiT) they all seem alike, with dh_t=f_θ(h_t,t)dt+σ_t dW_t; in ViT + SiT, the “time” t corresponds to "layer depth"+each residual block applies an incremental transformation; in DiT+LDM, t is an actual "diffusion time"👇🧵

Why does the first time I get interviewed by the news have to be with 10 min notice, in an office with no lighting? 😆

But the nice thing is they covered the ARTEMIS project and it's picking up some steam! #science #WomenInSTEM

Understanding these overlaps, and links (or otherwise) to OCD, Compulsive behaviour, and reward, is beginning to refine our models of recovery, neurobiology + fMRI-informed neuromodulation via the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and basal ganglia.

🧠 Fantastic ENIGMA workshop on how the brain changes + can dramatically recover in eating disorders.

👇 Graphic (below) shows how eating disorders overlap:

🟡 Bulimia nervosa

🔴 Binge-eating disorder 👇
🧠 Fantastic day at our ENIGMA workshop on how the brain changes—and can dramatically recover with the right treatment—in eating disorders.
We were honoured to host Clara A Moreau , Caitlin Lloyd, Joanna Steinglass and Laura A. Berner, who shared compelling findings from the ENIGMA-Eating Disorders Working Group and their own labs' work on the brain circuitry involved in eating disorders, and their leadership in bringing together researchers worldwide to pool their expertise. Their talks highlighted how structural and functional brain changes in anorexia nervosa and binge eating disorders relate to BMI, behavior, and recovery, and highlights new directions - including TMS - as a treatment in those with eating disorders.
One striking graphic (below) shows how eating disorders overlap:
🔵 Restricting subtype of anorexia nervosa
🟢 Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID)
 🟡 Bulimia nervosa
 🔴 Binge-eating disorder
Understanding these overlaps helps refine our models of risk, recovery, neurobiology and fMRI-informed neuromodulation via the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and basal ganglia.
👏 Thank you all who joined and to our speakers for advancing the science and hope of eating disorders research.
