Isn’t the death penalty illegal in ny?

We’re still at <15% interconnection between EU countries. Do you foresee rapid changes in that regard? I do not think Europe has installed too much PV, it just hasn’t invested sufficiently in grid infrastructure & electrification. Turkey is beating most of the EU on EV rollout. That’s pathetic

But we are building so slowly… China installed something like 300GW this last year alone

If the republicans win after all of these inhumanities the US is truly done for. The only way out would be a dem supermajority in the senate and that won’t happen

I mean it is certainly a bonanza for the west given they own most of the gold in the world

So paypal is actually spelled nazi? The number of monstrous and cruel people coming from that entity is staggering

Plenty of people who went through very traumatic events in childhood and still prospered and enjoyed wonderful lives

Vienna is super regulated and very much pro-social housing yet they obtain one of the best scores in europe. Paris is another city that is doing a lot with regard to public ownership of its housing stock and is also in a much better situation than London.

About abolishing DHS and ice. Both recent monstrosities out of the bush era. Same way there were created less than 25 years ago they can be abolished

Just join the EU

And there is a cabal of neo-nazi, sociopathic, greedy and racists oligarchs paying for all of this. That’s a the root of the problem. Unchecked inequality and limitless resources in the hands of a handful of depraved individuals.
January 20, 2026 at 11:42 AM
It’s not madness. It is greed, inequality, racism, unchecked power, maliciousness, sociopathy. It is the mentality of a rapist. Let’s not pretend this is just madness on the side of trump. It is a cabal of oligarchs, tech psychos, racists, fascists, and depraved humans who has brought us here.

An economist with a PhD? It was not obvious tariffs would primarily hurt US consumers. A high enough level could bring consumers to switch to other non-tariffed/domestic goods and foreign exporters would feel the main brunt.
January 20, 2026 at 11:08 AM
Gas is still so high…
January 20, 2026 at 10:55 AM
This is not conciliatory on the least. She is both pointing out that the US doesn’t have a single ice breaker to invade Greenland with and that the order they have placed with Finland could very easily be cancelled depending on what the US congress decides to do to restrain the orange dictator.
January 20, 2026 at 10:49 AM
Other people are saying the opposite. It’s the US who has no good options
On the one hand, Europe will be worried about a tit-for-tat economic spiral. But the politics of this fight really favor Europe, just as it favored the Liberals/Carney in Canada.

Moreover, a major European economic response that roils markets c/d really hurt Trump politically w/ midterms 4/

The US is already produce more shells than the US, it is already largely independent. Not sure why you are describing this as if it was a far off reality
