Ok. Follow, but if I don’t know you there needs to be some back and forth dialogue before I follow back. The AI are ridiculous here

Everyone needs to be aware that businesses are becoming more predatory.
We need to protect ourselves as well as possible, but we also need to protest against it and vote and actively support consumer protections based on it

When we focus on narrow goals, however deserving, we often benefit the greater system of oppression

It’s amazing the amount of stress I feel lifted when a popular cis het man casually mentions doing domestic work for his family.

I do, and it seems absolutely normal.

But all I ever seem to hear is that we don’t (because we’re sexist) or we shouldn’t (because real men don’t)

The problem with being the person people depend on to do domestic unpaid labor is that the labor is seen as effortless. And the people that expect you to constantly care for them and clean up after them are the only people close to you because you have so little time to pursue personal interests

I commend wealthy people that advocate for the poor.
I commend employers who treat their employees with respect and humanity.
I commend members of entitled groups of every sort who advocate for equity and justice.

Don’t stigmatise. It’s self defeating

So…just had an epiphany and not sure who needs to hear it but,

Self analysis is NOT self awareness!

Hope this helps someone

Anyone out there on board with unity?
It’s how we win. Mostly it means ignoring attack posts.

I know it’s hard, many of us have been hurt and want to vent and life seems unfair.

But it’s how we win. As long as we keep attacking each other we will keep losing

Being a billionaire is a choice. It isn’t natural. They can stop being billionaires anytime they like.

We have this situation where one side says welfare and immigration are the problem, and cut taxes for the extremely wealthy.

The other side says the problem is lack of compassion, and cuts taxes for the extremely wealthy.

The problem is, and will remain, not taxing the extremely wealthy enough

These 10 democrats voted to censure Al Green.

This is why I’m losing faith in the party.

I hope Bluesky moderators are tweaking the algorithm when it promotes toxic content.

Trolls and bots promote
Resentment, self righteousness, anger and fear

This creates the illusion of demand and the algorithm is easily compromised by it

The silly and, frankly weird, fantasy that’s going around about Trump supporters turning against him is really getting me pissed.

Are we so weak we need them to save us? We don’t have any passion of our own?

It’s sad

The great thing for conservatives about Medicare and social security is that they can make them effectively useless but keep on taxing low income workers for them and say they’re defending their existence.
A nuance of this is claiming that paying benefits endangers the programs.

Really love watching videos about how we as a society are too focused on work.
By people who then confess to being workaholics…

Some people are determined to see the worst in others based on arbitrary factors.

Try not to feed this.

But resent it?? Absolutely

Banks are less interested in the strength of a company they support than the profit they gain from investment in it.

The strength matters, but less than economists imply.

Non-profits routinely outperform for profit companies and are consistently denied loans to expand

Not hard to understand,

If you make money providing something and prioritise quality you will do well.

But if you prioritise making money sometimes you can do better.

See now?
