This is why the 2026 midterms matter — a different balance in Congress would change what legislation can pass and what leverage parties have on issues like healthcare subsidies and funding. That we can focus on and fight for. Not shutdowns.

The fight only mattered if it could actually pass.

And in 2025 the votes weren’t there for the ACA fight no matter how long the itshutdown lasted. That’s not a ‘dusty assumption,’ it’s the actual math. A tactic that can’t change the outcome isn’t strategy — it’s collateral damage.

Good but RFK Jr. is not getting impeached in a Republican-controlled Congress.

I thought you were joking. 🙃 Guess not. Geez.

If DeWine is aligning himself with Trump’s approach, I don’t see genuine free speech flourishing on Ohio campuses — it’ll just become another political talking point.

Sue the Trump Administration.

I think Ann’s concern goes beyond admin costs — it’s about how money determines who raises a child in the first place. Paying people for their work is one thing; pricing out birth parents is another. That’s the hard part we can’t ignore.

Shielding kids from LGBTQ stories doesn’t erase LGBTQ people—it just feeds stigma and ignorance. Just my opinion.

We’ve always had to fight—for the right to vote, to unionize, to be treated equally. It’s part of the American story. It’s frustrating that we still have to, but every generation has stepped up. These protesters are carrying that same torch. That’s how change has ever happened here.
June 26, 2025 at 1:42 PM
America isn’t done. When people in wheelchairs are zip-tied for defending Medicaid, they’re not just protesting—they’re fighting for all of us.
That’s hope. That’s resistance. That’s what keeps us going.

The rape happened in the '90s. The defamation was personal, not presidential. No immunity applies. Just pay what you owe, Trump.

He’s a democratic socialist, meaning he advocates policies like housing for all, taxing the wealthy, and expanding public services—not government ownership of everything or authoritarianism.

I grew up in rural VA and experienced all of this. College opened my eyes to what I’d never been taught. I’ve lived in the Midwest longer now and am very liberal. You can overcome your upbringing. Don’t write people off.

Studies show gender-affirming care helps trans kids’ mental health. Cass Review isn’t perfect. Big pharma claims need evidence.

Exactly, once you control who votes where, and where the money flows, you don’t need to win the majority.
June 20, 2025 at 5:02 PM
You are correct. Section 527 of the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act, which explicitly allows members of Congress to conduct unannounced visits to DHS facilities used to detain or house aliens.

It’s no coincidence that the states with the most extreme maps also push the harshest policies on abortion, education, and voting rights. Because they don’t have to fear losing power, even when the majority disagrees.
June 20, 2025 at 4:25 PM
You’re not wrong. Gerrymandering’s turned Ohio into a state where a rural minority governs the majority. Statehouse locked up, policies out of step, and most voters just stuck watching it happen. It’s not democracy—it’s design.

The right targets trans people not for policy, but for power. It’s about distraction, control, and fueling moral panic. The cruelty isn’t a byproduct—it’s the point.

Thanks for sharing! I checked ETA’s YouTube & site—interesting data on Clark County & PA, but the 40% county claim seems thin without broader evidence.

Ramapo’s ultra-Orthodox & Hasidic communities often vote as a bloc per rabbinical endorsements, backing GOP presidents (e.g., Trump 528–0 vs. Biden in 2020, District 35) but supporting Dems like Gillibrand for Senate due to local ties.

SMART Elections has raised valid concerns about transparency, but the claim of widespread vote tampering in 40% of counties lacks clear evidence beyond Rockland. Can you share specific data from Election Truth Alliance on tabulator changes? Curious to see the details.
