But on a real note I feel like a lot of the most popular Magical Girl Squads have a team member that match each issue the intended audience age is dealing with (i.e. Usagi being a crybaby, not feeling “girly” enough, being The Smart One in a friend group of other talents, etc.)

The Gang Goes To The Beach and/or The Amusement Park episode is the first thing that comes to mind

My only beef with TLWTASAP is there’s not enough fan art of it yet i’m bad at visualizing all these alien races Becky!!!

Incredible debut in a series by #BeckyChambers - focuses on deeply getting to know the alien/human characters & their relationships, less about the intergalactic problems around them. Almost slice of life to me, I loved it & recently read the final book. 💔 Special place in my heart now. #booksky 💙📚

idk if I did the same bc Dogs or bc of the sheer traumatic weight of it, but yes there are way more disturbing things in it before the dog’s fate 😮‍💨

🚨attn horror luvrs🚨 #ItCameFromTheCloset is an essay collection on horror films analyzed by queer writers & while some of them are a stretch (very on brand for this niche, right?), I really loved it as a whole. I’ve heavily tested it as a ooky spooky gift option & it’s always well received. #booksky

HIGHLY RELATABLE & the random gruesome child death caught me way off guard too. my jaw was in the floor during this adult reread several times.
