I tend to default to simplified nature backgrounds, usually focused more on values. Ring (the character in the top panel of the second image) lives in the forest, though, so I should really practice nature scenes more often!

Oops, all Rings! I promise I did draw other things this year, but these just happen to be some of my favorites!

Also started sketching a winged Ring this morning! My only drawing of them with their spectral angel wings is from 2019, so I wanted to give it another go, now that I’ve improved a lot with how I draw Ring.

Worked more on this Kaehill piece again finally! The recent move has kept me from drawing much, but my wife recommended that I take some breaks from unpacking to draw this week, so here I am.

My wife needed to buy a wig for work, and wasn’t home when it got delivered, so I had our dog son model it for them. He was completely unbothered by it, but he did get a treat as compensation for his help.
