Adding to this point, I see this as a symptom of animation Twitter assuming they are the only audience and/or should be the main target audience for animation, and don't realize that they are a much more niche demographic then it seems from inside their bubble.
Honestly, this is the biggest problem with people saying companies like Glitch will take down companies such as Disney someday; Not everybody is going to be an edgy child, pre-teen or teen, or even adult; Tastes vary, and most indie animation nowadays is skewed towards mature audiences (so far).
A big problem I notice with indie animation is how there is really nothing for all audiences
Why does all indie animation have to be dark edgy stuff only adults can enjoy? Where’s all the wholesome stuff?
Why can’t there be more indie shows out there similar to Phineas and Ferb?
