Rewatching That Cold Day made me think it’s similar to Rosemary’s Baby in that a woman’s inner circle coerces her into a life she’s not too keen on, but here, the woman is rich, giving her agency and power to dodge them. It’s my favorite Altman.

Finally got to check de la Iglesia’s quinqui movies. I loved them, but still think I prefer his earlier stuff. I could watch anything filmed in SF during the 1970s (what a city it used to be) and Foul Play has definitely entered my comfort movie canon
