Small talk is a difficult skill. It's like "The weather is weathering," but it gets us onto our special topic. We can chat for hours. I have found more enjoy listening than talking. One of the reasons I am a pet is because people talk to their animals and don't get upset when they don't talk back.

People like Sheldon from BBT, from Good Doctor and Sam from Atypical are not good representations. Look at people like Abed Gubi Nadir from Community, Norma Dead End Paranormal Park and Oliver from Come play.

The running joke of " neurodivergent people don't know they are wired" needs to go away.
