Not sure where we go from here, but hanging with the chaos, puppies and ducks. Peds/adult hospice nurse by day, accomplice 24/7. 💙
A touch of autumn has finally arrived in the PNW. Time for fall dishes and preserving the last of the summer veggies. We tried some storage tomatoes that slowly ripen into February, so that will be fun.

Ember is not very patient at dinner time.

The last night with the remaining puppy before he heads home. 19 puppies, that's a wrap!

The cool crop container veggies are cruising right along. We'll soon have lots of peas, lettuce, spinach, broccoli and cauliflower. Carrots and bush beans have sprouted, potatoes are in and summer seedlings are doing their thing under the lights.

One year ago, we had to find a way to introduce Ember and a duckling. Not an easy feat, but she is now the mama and is going to be thrilled in three weeks to do it again. Three female Welsh Harlequin ducklings will arrive and she is going to be so happy when we pull out the brooder box.

Agree. I have found my old #medtwitter accounts that often just are silly. Following some photographers as well. Currently being shaken down over a tangerine. 🤣

My rice order from 8 hours away was "lost in the mail" per USPS tracking. It did finally show up.

Same. More deep cleaning. Walking the dogs and ducks. Listening to music.

I realized I deleted the app and need to go back to delete my account. Now amount of dopamine is worth it.

It was a good day to be a hospice nurse. There is nothing better to distract from the chaotic noise and center me back to the important things in life (and death). Today included attending the visitation for one of my patients, a 9 year old who died last week.

And with that, the lights are off. A lot of sus things prior to this, so time to get back to some books and figuring out Bluesky.

I was at a Pediatric Palliative Care conference all day yesterday in Portland. Some of the focus was on the grief we as healthcare workers experience. However, this releasing grief exercise brought SO many emotions related to the election results for many of us.
