Seeing what happens lately makes me wish this novel can be reprinted and read by as many people as possible, especially those who read and like laut bercerita. For now, this novel as far as I know is only available in the Google play book.
My review of ular tangga by Anindita S Thayf I have to admit for one that had a short attention span, this book is really hard to read because of how thick it is and the writing style using metaphor adding another context to be understood before enjoying the journey more, at least for me. one of my highlights of this book was on the second part because it is like reading Sophie's world but the topic was about Indonesia before it colonized and after the 2nd president regime end. the metaphor is heavily used at this part. overall the first and last part contains portraits of Indonesia. I am a bit surprised this book not as popular as pulang and laut bercerita. reading several goodreads reviews said that this is the first of the trilogy making it make sense reading that ending.

If your app or library may be running on Android, instead look at Kotlin Serialization which uses code generation instead of reflection. This avoids Gson's runtime crashes when optimizations are applied, and results in faster performance on Android devices.
