Starting to think trying to build synergistic decks in Brawl is a good way to stop enjoying myself, too often the pieces just don't come together.
My latest deck is just strong cards, some of them have alternate casting costs to make Vial Smasher's text relevant.

I think I just need to accept that Ultimecia is going to be a pure blorbo deck, but luckily she plays nicely with two other blorbos: Ardyn and Quistis
Great thing about Ardyn is there might not be as much need to take out a small loan for big bombs since he gives targets 5/5 + keywords.

That's not to mention the potential commanders from any of the 2 colour subsets of Grixis.
These'll be a ways off though, gotta put in time with Inalla and build the paper collection a bit
