One of my big improvement goals for 2026 is to learn to draw poses and perspectives that are out of my comfort zone with more variety and fun dynamics. However, it’s a tough process and it’s hard not to default to what I’m familiar with.

It’s no secret I prefer grim endings. However, a grim ending with an audience? Watching and listening to the victim struggle and succumb. Intervening...or not. That takes things to the next level.

Some of my favorite pieces I’ve drawn are the ones that don’t end up ‘performing’ the best. I realize that doesn’t matter, but I notice.

I love talking about quicksand and other tangent topics with other community members, but I’m introverted and anxious by nature and rarely take the initiative.

Sometimes I play quicksand videos in the background while I draw just for the sounds.

Thank you, friend!

Sloppy, gurgling submersions are my guilty pleasure 😳

I haven’t ruled out drawing my own likeness sinking. Will I work up the courage? I don’t know. But the idea is there.

I would love to draw more trios or group sinks, but realistically I know I don’t have the attention span or the perseverance for it.

Peril trumps pleasure. There is merit to both, but quicksand has always been about the primal tension of a fight for survival to me.

If there’s no submersion in the scene/story, I don’t see the point of it. Why would you tease me and then leave me hanging?

Old AcidTester art played a big role in the early days of my fetish.

I wrote the entire first draft of The Silty Secrets of Rebecca Lorengale (12k words) by hand in only a few sittings. The inspiration was real.

Finding a real sinking spot isn't an option where I live, but I daydream about getting sucked under in a nice, thick bog 🙈

I think smooth clay is an overrated sinking substance. Not bad by any means, but overrated.

Peat is one of my favorite sinking substances. From an artist's point of view, however, it can be a pain in the ass.

The death scene from the 1994 Jungle Book movie was my first exposure to quicksand.

Thank you!

I am simultaneously very prepared and yet probably very under-prepared.

How would you describe each of their personalities in one word?
