Medical research is critically important and amazing strides have been made in the last decade. But there’s still work to be done to make treatment and preventative care accessible worldwide. And it frankly sucks to see things go backwards. So I guess just remember there’s still a fight.

My mom is grateful he had those drugs, but also blames them for being hard on his body and thinks that’s why he had a heart attack in his 60s. I don’t know if that’s true, but I know that we miss him. And I know there are so many loved ones who have missed far too many others for much longer.
