It's amazing how much of our politics seems to be built around the concept that Republicans have a divine right to rule. Any time a Republican squeaks into office, they are treated as infallible kings, and even when a Democrat wins with a commanding majority, it's treated as a fluke and not 1/

Can you imagine what people are saying to him to get him to take this test? “Mr President, no one has ever taken this many cognitive tests before. You’re the strongest in this area. We want you to be the President who took the most cognitive exams in the history of the world!”

Terrifying!

This is why I roll my eyes anytime someone says “I don’t pay attention to politics, they all suck.” Not being engaged is exactly how we get here. Things are being done that eventually affect our lives (Rs stacking courts for decades) but that doesn’t make headlines or conversation sexy.

Something being against the law doesn’t matter when no one does 💩 about it to hold anyone accountable. This is a lawless regime.

I will never forget this interaction ever. Every BS vaccine debate, I think of this conversation.

His reply, “Your dad’s health struggles are affecting his immune system, and taking the vaccine will help protect him as well.” That’s all I needed to hear. “Shoot me up!” I said. /2
