What kind of courage does it take to speak up and report a rape when you know that the rapist has threatened you and that other victims are dead? What kind of chutzpah and COWARDICE does it take the FBI, and the entire United States government to REMAIN SILENT even now? And corporate media! WTAF!

Happy Tuesday! Today's sunrise was a study in texture and layers from the top sky all the way down to the reflecting sun on the frozen snow over the dunes, with a wave splash for good measure. Tap for full size, particularly because it's a vertical. I hope you have a great day!

It happened so fast it made everyone's head spin in the legal profession—and no doubt caused the panic that led other firms to capitulate.

It never really made sense.
Paul Weiss was one of the first major law firms to bend the knee to Trump.

And, yup, connected to Epstein.

I wonder if this is a good time to point out that this kind of baseless homicide has been happening to Black males at the hands of police in this country routinely, unpunished, for many years.

I just listened to the "Strict Scrutiny" podcast about SCOTUS's upcoming decision on the Voting Rights Act case. This is a big one..

Here's a thought: Have a reputable polling service go literally door-to-door in affected cities asking THE ACTUAL PEOPLE whether or not they want armed troops in THEIR city. No loaded questions, just ask it straight. The press will be all over that, here and internationally. The bullying ... 1/2

So we know what this is, right? He wants ALL Blue cities militarized and the "I own your ass" message hammered home by the midterms, for voter suppression. This is why he wants to eliminate mail-in voting, so everyone has to run a military gauntlet to vote... 1/2

Please tell me someone will publish, or has published, a full, itemized record of the destruction this administration has inflicted since noon on Jan 20. We just passed the 200-day mark. Does anyone know of such a record?

He's using July 4th to push his true agenda. The one thing he desires above all else is to see America erupt in a new civil war. THEN he can bring out all of his military action figures to conquer this nation completely.

Jan. 6 was in fact just a test run.

The ICE budget just ballooned from $10B to $85B through 2029.

Wayfair and other MAGA contractors will make a killing oufitting all the detention camps. Who will stop the atrocities that will surely be rampant? We can't even enforce due process in these arrests. What chance have these people got?

"It happened on our watch."
I keep thinking of all those distraught Parisians back in 2019, watching with a mix of horror and shame as Notre Dame burned. It was heartbreaking. Now, as the 4th approaches, it's our turn to say it.

At least their nation was united in grief.

I tend to go deeply analytical and just a little kooky when faced with horrific violence. It's my thing. So I'd like to take a moment, in the face of our bombing of Iran today, to consider Orville and Wilbur Wright. The Bunker Buster bomb used today (in multiples) weighs over 30,000 lbs. ...

We in the US have been walled off from the suffering of the world for so long, we think if we read a few headlines every day we get it. We don't get it, but we will before long. It's tragic that so many in this country cling to the idea of some bloodless resolution to all this.
