Jep. Deshalb wünsche ich mir die Ampel zurück, trotz Streitereien und FDP Nonsens. Die haben immerhin sinnvolle Gesetze verabschiedet und versucht, die Entscheidungen zu erklären. Heute heißts "hocheffizient heißt hocheffizient" & ich fühl mich verarscht.

Und selbst wenn das diesmal ein Versehen war: dann hat er sich zu entschuldigen und sein Bestes zu tun, dass er es nicht nochmal macht. Wenn ich das schlucke, wenn ich als irgendeine Bürgerin online versehentlich Falschinfos verbreite, muss der Kanzler das erst recht.

Er ist Bundeskanzler - ich finde, das entschuldigt es nicht mehr. Ob er bewusst einen ganzen Protest diffamiert oder ob er so mies informiert ist, dass er’s versehentlich tut, der Schaden ist gleich, und in dem Post ist’s sein Job, sich gut informieren zu lassen & seine Vorurteile raus zu lassen.

Mir fällt unwillkürlich dieser Cartoon zum Geisterfahrer ein, dem nach seiner Sicht lauter "Geisterfahrer" entgegenkommen 😏

Schon krass, dass SPD, FDP, Grüne und Linke ja sowieso - alle zum linken Mob gehören. Selbst Amnesty International.
"Linker Mob" wird noch zu einem Qualitätssiegel, so wie "Made in Germany" ja auch mal stigmatisierend gedacht war.

And depending on who you’re contacting, the person who will read and summarise your message isn’t the one who decided, just some person on their staff. They don’t deserve it.

I know you’re joking but I wanna clarify for everyone reading this: don’t harass them. I mean, yes, send them mails and letters and call them until they have complaints coming out of their pores. But keep it civil - rude or aggressive messages, at best, will be dismissed, because emotion is treated

"it shouldn't exist" was also tame compared to "it will irreparably harm the video game industry itself if we do not actively stop it" which is an actual opinion I saw from outlets back in the day

One only needed a passing interest in Senran Kagura, back before Sony’s censorship policies caused the series to retreat to the mobile/gacha space, to see the flood of reviews saying things like “icky anime big boobs make me think this is loli for some reason bad it shouldn’t exist.”

Methinks that there are many journalists still wanting to cling to the era where they could show open distain for sexual content in games that makes them uncomfortable without getting this massive amount of pushback, not aware of or even not caring about how they paved the way for this censorship.

In other words, not uncommon to see games journalists revealing a lack of expertise on the censorship side of this issue, believe there are problems when there are not, and then try to sidestep the (incorrectly concluded) “messy” censorship issue — when the mess is all in their own heads!
