You are saying that Israel is justified in doing anything it wants. To be clear, you are defending genocide.

That's good enough for me.

With Ipsos, we surveyed people in the UK, France, Germany & Poland with questions about common recycling claims & symbols used on plastic packaging.

We asked about the impact of plastic on the environment & how recycling claims change how people feel about it.🧵

Fixing the housing problem requires thinking about the multiple roles we use property for as a society

So, I think this piece is helpful in explaining why the inter-generational resource distribution discussion tends to involve people talking past each other. But gonna spend a second on the housing question open.substack.com/pub/martinro...

'there is a special place in hell for politicians who object to solar farms & other renewable projects. But perhaps the hottest part is reserved for those who seek to slow pylons and other forms of electricity transmission, they keep us on course for a burning world. bright-green.org/2023/11/07/g...
Greens need to fall on the right side of the coming pylon wars
The energy transition will need major infrastructure. It's vital Greens don't oppose it.

It's not about the volume of arms, it's about exercising (im)moral leadership and reflecting the values of the country you purport to represent, i.e not supporting genocide.
pwilding.bsky.social
Thirdly, stop supporting genocide.

Privatisation broke our water system.

@labourslewis.bsky.social has a people-first, evidence-based alternative, and I’m backing it.

Of course we need to manage our resources in line with our planetary boundaries but we also need to consider all policies with regard to future generations.

🌍 Today is #EarthOvershootDay, 8 days earlier than last year.

😱 This means that we have already used up 1 year's worth of resources, and the rest of the year will be tapping into future resources.

💪 We need climate action now.
24 July 2025 Earth Overshoot Day
We keep using natural resources faster every year.
Graph showing the different earth overshoot days, showing a drastic advancement of the dates, meaning we're using up the resources faster every year.
This year we will use 1.8 Earths worth of resources

🇨🇳 China is building 28 GW of offshore wind — over 50% of the global total under construction.

In 2024 alone, it added 4.4 GW — more than the rest of the world combined.

Offshore wind is reshaping China’s energy mix and global decarbonization potential.

When damage by people protesting RAF 'assistance' to Israel is alleged to have cost £7m, imagine how furious the UK taxpayer will be that (as at 2022) £2bn has been spent leasing the planes🤔
These 14 planes would have cost around £700m to buy 🤔

Given that Western led international organisations have failed in this space, it's great to see other countries stepping up to the plate.

Green MPs call on the UK Government to publish its response and act in line with international law one year on from the ICJ's advisory opinion on the legal consequences of Israel’s actions.
REAL HOPE. REAL CHANGE.

Tories gained 100 votes. Reform lost 600. Does suggest significant disillusionment with Reform and opportunities for Greens.
